Photonic Red Light Therapy www.photonichealth.com/
If You Want Your Horse to Heal 60% Faster Without Drugs or Needles, Please Take a Few Minutes to Read this Important Information About Photonic Light Therapy.

What is Photonic Therapy and What Can it Treat?
University research has shown that Photonic therapy is a proven way to treat slow-healing equine soft tissue injuries including:
Muscle Strains; Tendon Injuries; Cuts; Sores; Wounds; Body Soreness; Lameness.
Photonic therapy has worked for more than a century. In the late 1890s, scientist Niels Ryberg Finsen won a Nobel Prize for his use of Photonic therapy to treat a smallpox and lupus. NASA has been using Photonic therapy to speed up the healing of astronauts. Photonic therapy is proven to heal injuries up to 60% faster than traditional approaches.

Nine Ways Photonic therapy Improves Healing
1.Reduces pain by increasing production of endorphinsa natural pain killer.
2.Reduces inflammation by suppressing enzymes that create swelling, redness, and pain.
3.Boosts the release of anti-inflammatory enzymes to reduce swelling quickly.
4.Increases cellular regeneration and healing by stimulating the mitochondria within the cell. This increases the production of ATP and this means that damaged cells accept nutrients and eliminate toxins faster.
5.Increases lymphatic drainage and increases circulation.
6.Relaxes tight muscles and quickly releases muscle cramps
7.Increases anti-viral properties by increasing antibody production in the blood stream.
8.Improves structure of tendons, bones, skin, teeth, and cartilage by increasing Collagen production.
9.Stimulates a strong heart beat by regulating serotonin levels. Serotonin helps to regulate inflammation and allergic reactions and it plays an important role in blood clotting, stimulating a strong heart beat, initiating sleep, and fighting depression. It also stimulates the smooth stomach in the intestinal wall.

Boarding
If natural horsemanship is dear to you then Crooked Creek Ranch may just be the place for you and your horse. We follow the Parelli principles, which focuses on us and teaches us how to develop a relationship with our horses, but it doesn't really matter whether it's Parelli, Lyons, Mills or Roberts, to name but a few. It's the underlying philosophy that counts. And of course if you want to learn more about natural horsemanship, there is nothing better then to surround yourself with those that already practice it.

Horses are turned out year round and given lots of opportunity to socialize and roam. We pay close attention to nutrition, building compatible and stimulating herds and overall "mental health".

With our three different service levels for full-board you can be sure to find one to suit your lifestyle. Our Standard and Standard Plus packages suit those living locally, while our All Inclusive package is ideal for those living further afield and looking for a retirement home for their horse. As we know that no two horses (or owners!) are the same, our Standard Plus and All Inclusive packages are customizable to fit your horse's particular needs.
Our barn is spacious, open, flexible and friendly to use for both people and horses. We have plenty of parking space and room to turn around horse trailers.

Standard care :: be Involved
You live close by, have a flexible schedule and want to be involved in virtually every aspect of your horses' life. You know that a close relationship is built on regular contact so you want, and are lucky enough to be able, to groom and exercise your horse, decide when your horse needs a blanket and which blanket he or she requires; to hold him for the farrier; and to be there when the vet looks at your horse.
Our Standard package takes care of the basic needs for you, like the cleaning and feeding, so that you can spend more quality time with your horse. Life being what it is there will be occasions when you can't be there and if there is a freak storm, we will put the blanket on your horse, or if he hurts himself we can call your vet. But these are isolated occurrences and do not reflect the relationship you want with your horse.
At Crooked Creek Ranch we want the cost of boarding to reflect the costs we incur and the time we need to spend to meet your horse's needs, and because of your ability to make this sort of commitment to your horse, the reduced rate of our Standard Care package reflects the corresponding reduction in your requirements of us.
This package includes:
Housing and Feed; Access to an excellent shelter; Daily cleaning; Year round turn out; Customized feeding program; Salt/mineral blocks; General Care; Fly masks on/off during summer months as needed; Vet & Farrier; Deworming, every 2nd month.
Housing & Feed
Some horses are simply much happier to live outside year round with the herd and would prefer never to see a stall. For those we offer a natural setting with some excellent shelters.

General Care
You will be responsible for all your blanketing needs and making sure they're cleaned regularly. In the summer months we will take care of the fly masks. Occasionally in the winter time if weather turns really ugly and we know you're at work, we will put a blanket on for you or simply take them off if it turns out to be a beautiful warm day, but generally this is your responsibility.

Vet & Farrier
You are responsible for organizing and attending your vet and farrier appointments. You do need to let Crooked Creek Ranch know when these appointments take place and what is being done, just so we can maintain our own health records on your horse. We will advise you when our vet comes to the barn to give you an opportunity to split the call fee with others. However, you will need to fit in with Crooked Creek Ranch's schedule if you wish to take advantage of this. If we're doing routine vaccinations you won't need to be there, but for anything else, you will be required to attend. Any extra scheduling requirements will be your responsibility.

Veterinary care
Veterinary fees are not included and you will be billed separately for his services. To help you save on routine veterinary care, like vaccines and dentistry, our vet offers annual health care packages. Please contact us for more details.

Medical Care and Supplies
You are also fully responsible for any medical attention your horse requires, whether for cuts and scrapes or recovering from an injury. If you can't make it and we need to fill in, you will be charged for our time.

Extra Services
Extra services are available but will be subject to separate billing. If you have any special requirements, please contact us to discuss your options.

Cost
The monthly rate for our Standard Care is $425.00 plus HST.

Standard Plus :: the Team Approach
You live in the area and want to spend as much time as you can with your horse, but work or other commitments can sometimes take you away from home. Perhaps you live slightly further away, so that you can't just pop over to blanket your horse if there is a cold snap. You need a flexible boarding facility that provides you with reliable back-up so that you know your horse is being taken care of when you can't be there.
Our Standard Plus package takes a team approach to the care of your horse. In addition to the general care given in our Standard package, when you're not available we take care of blanketing, holding your horse for the farrier or vet and basic medical care. It is customizable to suit your exact requirements, as we know that no two horses and owners have precisely the same needs!
At Jaquima Ranch we want the cost of boarding to reflect the costs we incur and the time we need to spend to meet your horse's needs.

Housing and Feed; Stall with attached paddock; Daily cleaning; Year round turn out; Customized feeding program
Salt/mineral blocks; General Care; Fly masks on/off during summer months as needed; Fly spray as needed; Blanketing as needed; Preparing blankets for the cleaners; Vet & Farrier; De-worming, every 2nd month; Standing for the Vet and Farrier; Organizing Vet and Farrier appointments; Attending to cuts and scrapes; Medical care; Miscellaneous
Housing & Feed
Your horse will have access to a full-sized 12x12 stall that opens up to a well-drained paddock. We firmly believe in an "open door" policy for the horses. In the summer months we try to keep the horses out as much as possible. Though we have our routines, everything is geared to the individual. What may be okay one day may not necessarily be okay on another. During the winter months horses are turned out for the day and brought in at night.
Our customized feeding program is geared to the individual needs of your horse. At least 80% of their diet is made up of good quality hay. We feed mostly Timothy and may supplement with Alfalfa if appropriate. We carefully choose our grains and concentrates and only store enough for a week at a time to ensure that things stay fresh. Supplements and medications are not included. We will add them to the feed but you need to provide these. If your horse is a hard keeper or in heavy training and requires more feed then the budget allows, we can discuss a customized package that better suits his requirements.

General Care
We know that when you are around you will want to spend quality time with your horse - we take care of all the basics, such as cleaning, feeding and turning out on a daily basis, leaving you with the enjoyable tasks of grooming and exercising. When you are away we cover for you and make sure your horse has all he needs in that time. Blanketing is taken care of as needed, though if you're around we appreciate a quick helping hand. We'll arrange for blanket cleaning as long as you tell us when but the invoices for that are your responsibility. During the summer months we take care of the fly masks, as long as you provide them.

Vet & Farrier
We will take care of the scheduling of routine vet and farrier appointments and hold your horse while they are being attended to. Appointments will be scheduled during the day at times convenient to Crooked Creek Ranch. For efficiency (for all involved) and to give you the opportunity to split call fees with other boarders, we would encourage you to use our regular vet Almonte Vet Services and farrier Neil Daly. Both have worked with us for nearly a decade and are very skilled in their field. If you prefer to use a different vet or farrier, please let us know. All vet and farrier fees are your responsibility.

Veterinary Care
To help you save on routine veterinary care, like vaccines and dentistry, our vet offers annual health care packages. Please contact us for more details.

Medical Care and Supplies
If your horse requires daily medication, shots or any other basic medical attention due to minor illness we will take care of these when you can't make it to the barn. When horses are brought in we always check for cuts and scrapes. If we find anything they're promptly taken care off. We will provide basic medical supplies like wound sprays, disinfectants, and Bute for example. Anything beyond will be billed separately. In case of emergencies the vet or farrier will be called immediately, and of course, you will be notified right away and kept abreast of your horse's progress. Injuries requiring extended medical care will need to be discussed on an individual case basis. You may be billed for extra time and supplies required.

Special Requirements
If you have any special requirements, please contact us to discuss your options.

Cost
The monthly rate for our Standard Plus care is $550.00 plus HST.
